The best compliment I’ve ever received
After my divorce, I took my 3 boys on a South Pacific cruise. It felt like a big step, just the four of us figuring things out.

One night at dinner, the waiter came over to take their orders. I remember my youngest, Hudson, confidently ordering fries and mashed potatoes like he was living his best life 😆

After they’d finished ordering, a dad from the table next to us came over. He said his wife and him had noticed how well-mannered and well-behaved my boys were, and he just wanted to say well done.

It might seem like a small thing, but it’s always stuck with me.
Because when a complete stranger notices you’re doing a good job raising your kids… that hits differently.

Out of everything, that’s the best compliment I’ve ever had.
