Quick Q and A.

What’s something most people don’t understand?

I thought about this question for a while. At first I thought it was presumptuous for me to answer this, but really I’ve based this on myself and my experiences.

We all go through traumatic experiences throughout our lives. Many people also struggle with different Mental Health issues.

For many of us once you have the “black dog” in your life it never truly goes. Sometimes it may disappear for a while and you think it’s finally gone from your life, but then boom! All of a sudden it’s back. It really has a mind of its own. This grey swirling thing that isn’t welcome in our lives.

There comes a point when you realise that you are getting better. You inadvertently start seeing the beauty in the world around you. Small things like sunsets, autumn leaves changing colour, waves crashing at the beach, light filtering through trees and flowers.

You may still have the unwanted thoughts filtering through. Recovering takes time

But one day you will notice that you are seeing the world with a bit more colour. That is you healing.

Does this sound familiar?

Beauty in small things.
