About Me!
Hi, I’m Deb.
At 55, I decided it was time for a new chapter. I left my job, sold my home in Australia, and set off to explore the world in a slower, more meaningful way. This journey isn’t just about travel — it’s also about continuing to work on my mental health and creating a life that feels calmer, more authentic, and more connected to the things that really matter.
I’ve always been drawn to places with history and character — quiet villages, countryside landscapes, and the kind of destinations that don’t show up in glossy travel brochures.
For me, travel isn’t about rushing through famous landmarks or ticking countries off a list. It’s about wandering through small towns, discovering historic homes, meeting locals, and finding those peaceful corners of the world that make you feel like you’ve stepped into another time.
I’m especially drawn to the beauty of old stone houses and the slower rhythm of village life in rural Europe. One of my dreams is to eventually restore an old French home and truly settle into that lifestyle.
On this blog I share the places that inspire me — charming villages, hidden countryside escapes, and the everyday moments that make travel feel authentic and meaningful.
If you love historic places, slow travel, and exploring the world a little differently, you’ll probably feel right at home here.
