Quick Q and A!

What book could you read over and over again?

The two books I could read over and over again are Charlotte’s Web and Little Women.

Charlotte’s Web has always stayed with me because it is really about friendship, loyalty and seeing beyond first impressions. Wilbur is frightened of Charlotte at first, and on the surface she is not exactly the sort of character you would expect to become a best friend. But that is the beauty of the story. It quietly shows that friendship is not about appearances, and that some of the most meaningful connections come from the places you least expect. What grows between Wilbur and Charlotte is gentle, steady and deeply moving. One of the things I love most about the book is its message that friendship itself is a gift, and never something small or ordinary.

Little Women is completely different, but I love it just as much. I’ve always been drawn to Jo March. She’s independent, strong-minded, creative and refuses to squeeze herself into the life other people expect her to want. She is emotional and messy and determined, and that makes her feel real. I admire that she chooses her own path, even when it would have been easier to take the one laid out in front of her.

Both books stay with me for similar reasons. They are warm, honest and full of heart, but they also understand that life is not always neat. There is love in them, but also grief, resilience, courage and the people who leave a mark on us simply by loving us well.
