Quick Q and A!

What super power do you wish you had and why?

I used to think reading minds would be the best superpower.

Imagine knowing exactly what people were thinking. No guessing. No second-guessing. No wondering if someone meant what they said or if there was a whole other sentence hiding underneath it.

But honestly, I don’t think I’d choose that anymore.

I’ve been hurt enough to know I probably wouldn’t want access to every unfiltered thought floating around in someone else’s head. People think things they’d never say out loud. Sometimes that’s mercy. Sometimes silence is the only thing standing between us and needing a three-day lie down.

Flying seems like the obvious choice too. Very practical. Very superhero. Very dramatic entrance material.

But I think I’d choose the ability to breathe underwater and swim ridiculously fast.

I have my scuba licence, and there is something about being under the ocean that feels peaceful in a way the world above rarely manages. Everything slows down. The noise disappears. The light changes. You’re suddenly in this strange, beautiful place where humans are clearly just visitors with flippers.

There are fish, coral, turtles, dolphins, whales if you’re lucky, and sharks if the universe decides your day needs a little cardio.

So yes, my superpower would be underwater breathing and super-speed swimming.

Peaceful. Beautiful. Slightly terrifying.

Basically meditation, but with the possibility of being chased by something with teeth.
