Quick Q and A!

If you had to describe your ideal life, what would it look like?

If I had to describe my ideal life, what would it look like?
My ideal life would look much quieter than people probably expect.
It would not be flashy.
It would not be some grand reinvention with dramatic music playing in the background.
It would be me, in an old stone house somewhere in France, probably in a town with a proper market, a train station close enough to be useful, a bakery I can walk to, and maybe the occasional bit of snow in winter if the universe is feeling generous.
There would be shutters.
There would be uneven floors.
There would probably be a fireplace, a courtyard, some pots of herbs, a few fruit trees, and a small dog wandering around as if she owns the place.
I would run a small bed and breakfast. Nothing huge. Nothing exhausting. Just a couple of guest rooms, simple breakfasts, clean linen, good coffee, and the kind of place where people feel they have found something a little bit real.
I want a life that has room in it.
Room to write.
Room to travel.
Room to sit outside with a coffee and not feel like I should be doing ten other things.
Room for my sons to visit and have their own space.
Room for guests, stories, old buildings, local markets, train trips, and slow mornings.
My ideal life is not about escaping everything. It is about choosing what stays.
I want history around me. Stone walls. Church bells. Markets. Ghost stories. Villages with strange little corners. Old streets that make you wonder who walked there two hundred years before you.
I want enough income to be independent, enough work to feel useful, and enough freedom to keep exploring.
Mostly, I want a life that feels like mine.
Not perfect.
Not polished.
Not impressive from the outside.
Just solid. Interesting. Peaceful. Practical. A little haunted. And completely on purpose.

    Very insightful 👏
I like the way you describe a life that has room in it: to write, travel and do the things that matter to you, rather than being caught up in endless activities. 😃

Yes thankyou🤗. It has taken a lot of pain to get to this point me saying my life has to change and my mindset is already so much healthier🙏
