Who are some underrated people in history?

Underrated people in history?

Honestly, heaps.

The people who invented coffee should have statues in every town square. The person who first looked at a potato and thought, “I bet this would be better fried” deserves a national holiday.

Whoever invented fitted sheets, though, remains under review.

I’d also like to nominate every woman in history who quietly kept everything running while some bloke got a portrait, a statue, and a paragraph in a textbook for “discovering” something that was already there.

Also, the first person who said, “Maybe we should write this down,” because without them half of history would just be men loudly disagreeing in a cave.

So yes, there are many underrated people in history.

But today, my vote goes to the unknown genius who invented coffee.

Because without them, I would not be answering this prompt. I would just be staring at it with one eye open, questioning my life choices.
